Alun is a group facilitator and trainer with over 20 years experience.  He works on the premise that about a third of the working population have a preference for kinaesthetic learning.  So what does that mean for conventional “chalk and talk” training methods?

Primarily that means that if you want people to learn in a group environment; they need to be provided with a variety of opportunities to learn and for that to be OK.  A simple analogy is when you get a new digital recorder for your TV.  There will be some who will read the instructions from cover to cover before even unpacking the recorder. Some others will have deliberately bought a model because they know someone who can show them how it work. There will also be a group who disregard the instructions and just plug it in and play with it.
